    Offered for sale by Caspar’s Place is
    a 14k yellow gold, unengraved signet ring made by
    Allsopp-Steller.
    It is marked with “A” and a five pointed star.
    There is no purity mark, but the ring acid tests as 14k gold.
    Allsopp-Steller of Newark, NJ, originated in 1885 with the jeweler Henry Allsopp. In 1891 Henry went into partnership with his brother George as Allsopp & Company. In 1894 it became Allsopp Brothers. George took over the business in 1922 under the name Allsopp-Bliss. In In 1937/8 the name became Allsopp-Steller after a merger with Arthur Steller. The firm was bought out in 1956 by Krementz & Co.
    This signet ring is NOT monogrammed. It is in good estate condition, although it has the patina of old tarnish, small dings, and fine scratches to be expected with age and use. The piece’s price reflects its condition.  This signet ring will make a lovely addition to any jewelry collection.
    The ring weighs approximately 4.9 grams.  It is roughly 5.5 in size.
