Very nice Antique/Vintage Koken Barber Chair - Restored - SN # 167188.
I am listing this for a friend. It is located near Tampa, Florida and will need to be picked up there. He says it goes up and down, round and round and lays flat. He thinks it is from about 1920 but he is not a Koken expert nor am I. It was restored about 30 years ago.
He told me he won it in a back room crap game at a tavern at the Speedway Race Track from local barber and crap shooting legend "Big Red Muldoon" over 50 years ago. Apparently the dice went cold for Red and my friend won the chair and a gold piece.
I am not sure if that is a true story but it's certainly true that it is a story.
I hope to get more photos to post and will update the listing when I do. If there are any Koken experts out there we would love to hear from you to find out the model name and age.
